Nicola Sturgeon on #GUIndyRef

On Friday I had the privilege to sit down and speak to Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon about her life and political career as part of our own Great Scot project. As many of you will know, Nicola Sturgeon is a graduate of the University Of Glasgow and had these words to say about this week’s Glasgow University Independence Referendum:

It’s important in the sense that it’s the first time we’ll have had any real votes on ballot papers about Independence. I know that the students on the Yes side are campaigning really hard and I’m going there myself on Monday so I can help out. I hope we’ll do really well. I don’t think you’ll be able to read too much into it since it is one election, on one campus. We don’t know what the turn out will be, but hopefully lot’s of people will go out to vote. There’ll need to be a degree of perspective around it I suppose but I think it’s important and I would like very much for Yes to win.”
